Kat is playing her tunes in chronological order and said: “They are a unique and truthful insight into a life, a musical diary, on solo piano and voice, in the fabulous piano bar of the Royal Victoria Hotel. Each show has a different time span, and some special guests.”

Kat is a singer-songwriter who usually performs with The Fabulous Red Diesel, a six piece original jazz/funk band from St Leonards, but does solo sets now and then.
“I have been writing songs since my teens, and kept all of them in a series of songbooks (12 in all) and they form a song based narrative of my life.
“There are about 60 songs per book, so it was hard to pick out the ones to play. Some are recorded with the bands I was in at the time - Gypsie, Naked Angel, Sister Wicca - and some were only ever gigged, and one has never been heard at all. I am 50 now, I have been a musician since I was 17, and its interesting to watch how my style and experience changed over the years and is still changing. I love the Royal Victoria Hotel’s piano bar, and its exactly the sort of place to tell my stories. They are all small stories, ordinary things that happened to me, frozen musically in time.”
