Brighton Gin celebrates 2019 Pride with limited-edition bottle
For the fourth consecutive year Brighton Gin has created a one-off design to celebrate Pride – with a percentage of the funds to go to charity.
This year the bottle recognises the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots in New York and features LGBTQ activist and self-identified drag queen Marsha P. Johnson.

Founder of Brighton Gin Kathy Caton said: “We’re proud to support our LGBTQ communities and give something back to the city which has taken us to its heart.
“And by featuring Marsha P. Johnson on the label, we hope people will ask more questions about who she was and the origins of the modern day LGBTQ movement.”
The award-winning gin producer teamed up with Brighton-based artist Hizze Fletcher-King to create the label and each 700ml bottle in the limited run of 500 is capped with a gold wax top and priced at £39.

Hizze Fletcher-King said: “Women have continued to be erased from their historical importance and Marsha P. Johnson stands for that.
“While we celebrate Pride and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots let’s remember that ‘Pride is a Protest’ which seems to have been forgotten.”
