Peter, a former Longley’s building firm site manager, said: “I think they do an incredible job. Lots of people have stopped to look at it – there are some really nice people about.
“Being an ex-medic, I feel for these nurses, they just go into work and it is their dedication – not a job – they go and just do it.”

Hide AdPeter, who is disabled and considered vulnerable, said being an active member of the Royal Air Forces Association Mid Sussex Branch has kept him busy during lockdown.
He added: “They might imprison your body but your mind can go anywhere.
“I am not worried, I am 86. If I catch it and I live then I will be still here to annoy people – but if I die, I’ll be with my Rita.”
He compared the coronavirus outbreak to war times: “People who have lost their lives should get a medal and people saving people’s lives - they are fighting a battle too – but the only difference is they can’t see the enemy.”
