A study by the Consumer Data Research Centre (CDRD) has indicated the least healthy places to live in East and West Sussex.
The study looked at a number of factors including pollution levels, access to green space, the availability to health services, and the number of eateries.

The higher the AHAH score, the more unhealthy the area.
Eastbourne came fifth in the rankings for Sussex, with the study finding a wide variation across the town.
It said that, whilst some areas on the outskirts were some of the healthiest in the UK, areas near the seafront and around the pier were much unhealthier.
The study suggested ‘this may be down to a greater number of pubs and takeaways in areas of the town which cater towards visitors’.
