Branch chairman Cynthia Edwards said: "We couldn't do the coffee morning on September 26 so Peggy kindly offered her house to do it here today '“ this is the only day the majority of us could fit it in, so we decided to do it on the Monday.
"We have done this every year for the last 20 years '“ we were one of the first committees to set it up, and when we first did it we went round all the shops in Bexhill with a coffee morning pack.
"It is very popular '“ it raises quite a lot of money nationally for Macmillan Cancer Support. You tend to find in places either a little give a lot, or a lot give a little...here we have a lot who give a little."
