Man sentenced after Christmas Eve break-in at Billingshurst salon

In Sussex Police’s Horsham District Monthly Update, Chief inspector Howard Hodges said he and PC Walker attended a break-in at a beauty salon in Billingshurst on Christmas Eve.

The report read: “The offender went to court where he was found guilty and sentenced to a one year community order, 80 hours unpaid work, court charges of £85 and victim surcharge £60.”

The report added: “A man from Steyning was given a community order with 80 hours of unpaid work and a £60 victim surcharge after being convicted in his absence of common assault.”
