Officers said they have been conducting enquires and keeping an eye out for any suspicious activity following reports of both a burglary and an attempted burglary in the Polegate area.
Police had been out conducting their enquiries on Tuesday, May 16, according to a spokesperson.
A spokesperson from Sussex Police added: “Both have been reported within the last 48 hours (May 14-15), whereby unknown individual/s have attempted/gained entry and caused damage to rear doors of two properties in the area.
“Whilst our investigations continue to identify any lines of enquiry, we remind residents to follow our advice to help keep homes safe and reduce the risk of burglary.”
