Driver sought after schoolgirl hit by car in Bexhill

Police are seeking witnesses after an 11-year-old girl was hit by a car in Bexhill this morning (Friday, February 24).

The incident happened in Hillcrest Avenue at around 7.45am.

The child, who was walking to school, was unhurt.

The driver of the vehicle, which was described as a black van or people carrier, stopped and spoke to the girl before leaving.

The police would now like to speak to him about the incident.
