The group has launched the Great Reskilling of Lewes, a campaign to help people to get to grips with basic skills such as growing food, repairing machines and clothes and belonging. TransitionTown Lewes believes climate change and dwindling oil resources will make it essential for people to regain old skills and develop and share new ones. Last night (Tuesday) supporters attended a reception at Lewes Library and discussed a series of workshops. These included sewing classes, basket making and basic bicycle maintenance.
