Hide AdWork was set to be complete by Monday (August 20), but the council said that as a result of delays, it will now be closed until Tuesday, August 28.
It said contractors have found that the drains and some sections of the flooring need more extensive works than previously thought.
Cllr Emma Daniel, chair of the council’s neighbourhoods committee, said: “Our contractors will be working seven days a week to complete all the work that is needed.
