Tomorrow, Saturday 12,the Autumn Craft Fair is in Icklesham Memorial Hall 10.00 -2.30 There’s an excellent variety of stalls and a chance to buy Christmas gifts early. Refreshments available. The Hall is next to the Recreation Ground which has plenty of parking and a play area for children.

Sunday 13 10.30 Parish Eucharist in All Saints with St. Nicolas. The Celebrant and Preacher is the Reverend David Page.

4-6 Queen’s Head Live Music Titus the local folk singers.

Tuesday 15 2.30 A meeting to discuss plans for next year’s anniversary events to mark 100 years since the start of the First World War will be held at 16 Oast House Field. There will be tea and cakes and a fund raising raffle.

Saturday 19 October 10.30 -12 midday A coffee morning in the Memorial Hall in aid of Family Support Work.

Wednesday 23 Help the Heroes Quiz Night 8.30 in the Queen’s Head.

Friday 25 7pm Icklesham Horticultural Society A.G.M. in the Memorial Hall.

Sunday 27 The Sponsored Walk raising funds for the New Pavilion. The route is the 19 miles from Eastbourne Pier to Hastings Pier. Involved so far are David Mayne,Nick Warren and Stuart Baker. If you would like to walk with them or sponsor them contact one of them to get a sponsor form.

Icklesham Village Store will be changing to winter opening hours from Tuesday 29 October. Monday to Friday 7am -5.30pm. Saturdays 8.30am - 5pm. Sundays 9am- 12.30pm.

The Store will be closed on Sunday 27 and Monday 28 October.

Last Saturday’s Flower Show was held in Icklesham Primary School and the Horticultural Society would like to thank the Head teacher Mrs Robinson for allowing them to be guests.

The school was full of the children’s art work and the judge Mrs Cole had difficult decisions to make. The Robin Hood had generously sponsored the medals which were awarded to the pupils. The results were;-

Class 1. Gold -Finley Leonard and Lauren Kilbey. Silver - Marc Baker. Bronze -Skie Reynolds-Ward,

Class 2. Gold - Connor Leonard, Silver - Sophie Thompson. Bronze - Iona Russel-Black,Jasmine Tortello-Myers and Tia Horsman.

Class 3. Gold - Harry Kilbey. Silver - Oliver Selly Crossfield and Isobel Clark. Bronze - Lily Tutting.
