LETTER: Care for ‘jewel in the crown’
Local residents rightly consider that the park is ‘the jewel in the crown’ of Horsham. Sadly, the jewel is in a tarnished state with many hedges overgrown with brambles and weeds, including nettles. This presents a hazard to pedestrians, wheelchair and scooter users and families with pushchairs. It is sad to see the park in such a poor state of maintenance.
I understand the maintenance of the park has been outsourced to a private company. Please HDC bring the maintenance of the park back to ‘in-house’ employees, who have the knowledge and skills required for the task.
