He said: “We had so many comments from runners saying they were encouraged by incredible support from the town. “It was a fantastic day, with an atmosphere that can only be good for Battle.” More than 500 people entered, with 440 setting off from the start line on the High Street. Darryl Hards took first place with a new course record of 31:28. The annual event is a major fundraiser for the Battel Bonfire Boyes.
