Police donate to charity fitness group

BHP are a group who have set up a project to construct an all-weather walking, running and cycling route around the Battle Recreation Ground in North Trade Road.
A police spokesperson said: “The BHP project group have identified options for the Pathway and now a topographic survey has to be carried out by professional surveyors prior to development of the complete project costing and works funds bidding processes.

Hide Ad“There have been various fund raising events over the last year or so and now the donations towards this professional work mean the next step can be undertaken.
“Eventually, if funds can be identified Battle can look forward to a hardened surface path, usable by all, young and not so young, for various activities and allowing more off-road/footway connections for local journeys. .
“The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.”
