SANDS OF TIME: Cavalcade of classic cars
Mr Denham’s rare 1956 Mk II Highline convertible took the best in show award as well as the top prize in the 1940-59 category.
He said: “This car is history. It’s all about the rock’n’roll era of the 1950s and 60s.
“It brings back some memories when people look at it.

“It’s in showroom condition with a power hood and overdrive.
“There’s no power steering and it’s quite a heavy, wide car and you’ve got to drive it.
“It feels special owning a car like this. I get a lot of reactions when I go round in it.”

More than 50 vehicles were entered and motored around the town in a cavalcade before spending the afternoon on the front lawn of the Royal Norfolk Hotel.
They ranged in age from a 1926 Amiscar G/CGS owned by JM Gibson of Barnham to Brighton man Derek Lloyd’s 1988 Ginetta G30.
There was also a smattering of vans, two military vehicles and a couple of motorcycles.

He told visitors: “Jodie is my everyday drive and is outside all year, with a cover in the winter.
“I drive Jodie most days for shopping, holidays and runaround.
“Classic cars are fun to drive and a talking point when out and about.
