Murmurations, located at 17A, Parkhurst Road, is a commercial exhibiting gallery created for local and regional artists and art groups to both showcase and sell artwork. Director Joe Nguyen says they are actively seeking to build links with other galleries. “We welcome all partnerships and network links to turn Bexhill into a thriving hub for creatives to work and showcase their work,” he said. “The gallery’s aims and ethos is to support and promote local artists and designers; painting, sculpture, mixed media, metalworks, contemporary crafts, video, installations plus public art. All mediums considered.” The ‘Unbroken’ exhibition includes works by seven local artists, including sound, photography, drawing, threads, installation and painting. The group of Artists exhibiting at ‘Unbroken’, are known as ‘Now we are 7’, and one of the seven, Katy Oxborrow, says the forthcoming exhibition is thought provoking. “It brings together themes that consider how fractures in the human experience are explored through the process of art making,” she said. “Uncovering something to make a different kind of sense of it.” Email:nowweare7info@gmail.com or visit: www.murmurationsgallery.co.uk
