Stand up and be counted and fight the cuts

THE Herald today urges its loyal readers to resist any plans to cut vital services at Worthing's cash crisis hospital.

Since we revealed on last week's front page that the hospital trust was 10.6million in the red and two leading directors had resigned, we have been inundated with calls from staff and patients.

Many were concerned that life-saving services would have to go as a team of experts examine the hospital's finances in detail.
