Firefighters called to ‘explosion’ in Horsham town centre
Firefighters were called to the Causeway after an electrical substation ‘exploded’ at the junction with Blackhorse Way.

UK Power Network engineers spent several hours carrying out repairs at the site restoring electricity to most premises by 11.45am.
A spokesman for the firm explained the explosion had been caused by ‘a fault on a piece of equipment at the local electricity substation’.
Repairs are still continuing to connect the final 12 properties.
