Two seriously injured in Ringmer collision

The collision, which involved a black BMW 3 series estate and a tractor and trailer, happened close to the junction with Half Mile Drove, shortly before 6pm on Monday (May 18).
The impact caused the tractor and trailer to overturn onto its side.

Hide AdA Sussex Police spokesman said: “The tractor driver – a 40-year-old man from Hailsham – and the BMW driver – a 20-year-old man from Uckfield – were taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with serious injuries.
“Police, ambulance and fire services all attended the scene, and the road was closed for several hours for forensic examination.”
He added: “We’re urging anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it, or anyone with dash cam – specifically involving the black BMW and a silver Honda Civic being driven in the area – to contact us.”
