UPDATE: Cineworld apologises after Jurassic World screening is cut short

The company confirmed the film was stopped due to a ‘technical issue’ which left many customers angry and frustrated.
Dan Phillips was watching the film and said he was disappointed with how Cineworld had handled the situation.

Hide AdHe said: “Frustrating doesn’t seem to do it justice. To sit and watch such a highly anticipated movie to then have it cut out an hour through has left me feeling very hard done by.
“It was worsened by the fact we were made to sit for half an hour staring at a paused cinema screen before being told that the entire cinema audience had to vacate their seats as there was nothing they could do.”
He added he was upset by the lack of cashiers on hand to offer refunds.
On Twitter James Bryan agreed.
He said: “Broken projector at Jurassic W. Crawley (9pm). Things happen but learn how to treat your customers. Very badly handled.”

Hide AdSam Aldridge added: “Opening night at Crawley for Jurassic Word. Whole cinema tossed out mid film by staff. Shocking management.”
A spokesperson for Cineworld said: “We can confirm that on Thursday June 11 a screening of ‘Jurassic World’ at Cineworld Crawley was cancelled due to technical issues.
“The problem has since been fixed and this was the only screening interrupted. We apologise to all affected customers who have been offered a full refund and complimentary tickets for another screening of their choice.”
