Virtual cruise at Grosvenor Park
Celebrating America, residents had their knowledge of the USA tested with a quiz, and were treated to home-made American-style brownies.
Local entertainer Andy Robertson got things going with a swing, performing his talents both as a pianist and singer with a selection of well known American songs including New York, New York.

Hide AdThe day was arranged by Grosvenor Park's activities organisers Georgina Ballard and Patti Kellaway and Patti said the residents "thoroughly enjoyed" the day.
Over three hundred Bupa care homes across the UK joined in the virtual cruise, sampling waffles, American brownies and Pecan pie to mark their 'visit' to New York.
They will then be 'calling' at South Africa, Australia, India and Ireland throughout July as each home is transformed into a passenger cruise ship.
Bupa's community consultant Siobhan Drane, said the virtual cruise is a great way for residents to get a small taste of different countries.

Hide AdSiobhan said: "This is certainly a cruise with a difference, but it's a great way for our residents to get a little taste of each country. We recognise that not everyone can get away this summer so we are throwing open our doors to our local communities and welcoming aboard new friends and faces too."
