Bishops are honoured
Despite being unable to field 32 men to contest both town leagues each Saturday '” they joined with Homefield Park and Marine Gardens in succesfully applying to field women in the gaps '” they had their best Stracey Shield finish in the last 10 years.
The Bishops hoisted themselves out of the bottom half to break up the regular combination of Tarring Priory, Pavilion, Lancing and Worthing by finishing fourth.

Hide AdThey defeated the champions Priory on the final day, 4-2 away from home. Their other six wins came at Lancing and Marine Gardens, and at home to Field Place, Homefield Park, Marine Gardens and Worthing. And they tied away to Worthing.
And they beat Marine Gardens to win the Handicap Cup for the first time in eight years.
