England rugby ace continues the Cranleigh tradition
Last month saw England finally crowned junior champions after a hat-trick of defeats in previous finals when they beat Wales.
Cranleigh RFC have seen a number of their players progress to county, international and Lions teams, including Toulon and England star Simon Shaw, and now Clifford can be added to that list following his heroics.

Hide AdFollowing their long wait for World Cup glory Clifford described the moment as the “highlight of our careers”, adding: “The Welsh boys came out really hard and took it to us and losing Dom Barrow (to a yellow card) really shook us. But the boys gave 100 per cent and it’s just amazing to win.”
Nigel Moore, Cranleigh’s new chairman said: “On behalf of everyone at Cranleigh RFC, could I take this opportunity to congratulate Jack on leading England to victory in the Under 20 World Cup. We are immensely proud to have played a part in his rugby development.”
Ahead of the new season a new coaching and management structure has been introduced and hopes are high for a positive season following the disappointment of last year.
