Hide AdNicknamed ‘The Beast’ because of his imposing stature, Jensen has played in all four divisions of the Football League during his distinguished career, but is best remembered for a glittering decade-long spell at Burnley.
Jensen, 40, who is Danish, said: “I had an opportunity to come here last year, but at the time it didn’t really suit Crawley. There has been interest since and as soon as I heard the gaffer (Adam Murray) wanted to bring me here again, it was massive for me.”
Mansfield have also signed former Crawley Town goalkeeper Scott Shearer on a free transfer from Crewe Alexandra.
After a six-month stay at Wrexham, Shearer penned a mid-season move to Crawley Town and enjoyed complete success at the Broadfield Stadium – helping the Red Devils to the Conference Premier title in 2010/11, then instant promotion from this level in 2011/12.
