Hide AdBlair has been playing in the Midland League this season for Basford United and attracted the interest of several League clubs.
Dean said: “It’s a big step up for Blair but I think he’s got something about him, he’s a good prospect.
“It’s an opportunity for Blair to have a look at us and for us to assess him but he is someone I think will add to what we’ve already got.”
He has been given squad No. 17.
Blair said: “I’m pleased to be at Crawley. I think I can step up to this level and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to show what I can do in a Crawley Town shirt.”
He is Saunders’ second new signing in two days following yesterday’s recruitment of Darren Ward on loan from Swindon Town.
