Losses not a concern - Chapman

After kicking things off with a friendly win at Lancing, Hillians have suffered defeats in all three pre-season matches since then.
Chapman’s side went down to National League South side Whitehawk, while a loss at home to South Park on Friday was followed by defeat to Southern Combination League Premier Division side Hassocks four days later.

Hide AdBut Chapman admits results mean nothing at this stage of the season and said: “I don’t like losing and I don’t want the players to get into a mentality where they see it as acceptable.
“But at this stage of the season it’s all about working hard and getting everyone back in.
“I’ve been involved in football for a long time, I’ve had good pre-seasons then gone on to have a bad campaign and the other way around.”
Chapman believes he knows eight starters for the new season, while three positions are still up for grabs ahead of the kick-off.

Hide AdHill are still looking to add some fresh blood as well, Chapman added: “I think I know maybe eight who will be in that team on the opening day but the others I don’t.
“We’re looking at getting some fresh faces in and adding to what we have got.
“It’s about working hard ahead of the season.”
