Harriers out in force for Bexhill 5k
19 Harriers made the journey to Bexhill, joining 325 runners; with strong coastal winds adding to the challenge on the evening on this twice out and back, flat course on the seafront.
The race, the only 5k on the circuit, is a favourite for Sussex club runners looking to take their parkrun form onto the county-stage and collect those all important league points.

Hide AdIn a quality field, first Harrier home in 14th position, and continuing his rich vein of form, was Paul Tomlinson in 17:08. First female Harrier in 6th position for the ladies was Izzy Coomber, clocking 18:49.
Looking good following injury earlier this season and second Harrier was Phil Hardaway in 19th position with his time of 17:33.
An excellent nine Harriers went sub-20 minutes - Steve Dallman was next home in 18:32, closely followed by Jack Chivers (18:35), Rob Coomber (18:38), Jason Russell (18:47), Andy Biggs (19:06) and Phil Payne (19:19).
Second lady in 18th was Kim Lo (20:32).
With participation and performance at impressive levels, Haywards Heath Harriers is enjoying one of its greatest periods of success across all age groups and athletic formats.

Hide AdThe next race on the Sussex Grand Prix circuit is the Newick Will Page 10k in August but plenty of running to be had in between.
