SMART MOVE HELPS CENTRE
SMARTY the horse has joined the workforce at Ferring Country Centre after an Arun District Council area committee came riding to the rescue.
It granted the centre 2,500 to buy Smarty as a replacement horse for its riding therapy school.
The centre is a charity that provides work experience for 50 adults with learning difficulties.

Hide AdThis includes its clients looking after 14 horses that are used to provide riding therapy for more than 600 disabled children and adults each month.
Committee chairman Peter Evans said: "We were delighted to support this scheme because riding therapy is known to improve confidence, co-ordination, self-esteem and fitness.
"But above all, it is fun for those participating."
